what is foom?

foom connects you with people from your favourite bars, pubs and clubs or from where you work or go to college.

with foom you can:

• get to know people from where you hang out
• flirt anonymously or openly
• tell your friends where you’re going out and find out where your friends are going out
• hook up with people into the same things as you
• create second chance adverts for people who caught your eye while you were out and about

how does it work?

foom is made up of networks (we call them foomspots) of all the places you go to – where you work, where you drink, where you hang out. join these foomspots and you can check out the people who go to these places.

with foom you can make new friends or you can tell people you’re interested in them (we call it adding them as a foom). you can flirt with someone openly or anonymously. it’s up to you. when you register with foom, we ask you to give us a secret “foomie” name. so, when you tell someone you’re interested, you can either flirt anonymously using your secret “foomie” name or flirt using your real name. if you use your secret “foomie” name we’ll only give them some basic details about you such as your gender, your rough age and where you know them from. after that, it’s up to you how quickly you want to reveal who you really are.

how do I get started?

sign up. create a profile. upload a photo of yourself. search for and join your favourite foomspots. and if you can’t find the person you’re looking for, create a second chance for them. we’ll do the rest.
